In year one, you will achieve the following qualifications:

Performing Engineering Operations at NVQ Level 2

By studying a range of engineering subjects, you will develop the knowledge and practical skills that are needed to become a top-class technician.

BTec National Award in Engineering

Here you will receive further education in mathematics, science, and either electrical & electronic principles or mechanical engineering principles.

Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) at Level 2

This is a great programme to help develop team building and leadership skills. Our training is focused on the team as well as the individual, providing you with the opportunity to develop the all-round ability to be a successful member of our business.

In years two and three, you will work towards completing the NVQ Level 3 in Railway Engineering as well as receiving supervisory training which can lead to your ILM Level 3 certificate in first line management. This comprises of a programme of rail-specific training courses, work experience and formal workplace assessments.
